May-Brith Ohman Nielsen is professor of history at Agder University, Norway, and professor of history education at Stavanger University.
Professor Ohman Nielsen is the project leader of Deadly Dreams and is also the leader of the three subprojects Professional and private stories of environmental poisons, experiences acrossgenerations, Deadly dreams and poison in gardens, food, sea and agriculture and Deadly dreams and concepts of poison in politics, lab and life.
Professor Ohman Nielsen’s research areas include environmental humanities, environmental history, history of health, medicine and epidemics, historiography, history of ideas, mentality and materiality, history of gardening, landscape and pesticides. History education, storytelling and popular history. History and social memory in culture and conflicts.
